The catering guide offers a collection of culinary trends ranging from the very simple to the very stylish. Our goal in serving you will always be to meet the needs of you and your guests while allowing you to enjoy your event.
To ensure that we maintain the most superior customer service we would like to review the items mentioned under the Catering Guidelines.

Catering Guidelines

Customize Your Event:

This is designed as a guide to assist in planning your menu. Bring us your ideas and let us assist you in turning them into an event to remember. Our Catering Manager will be pleased to work with you in customizing any menu to suit your particular tastes. Our resources allow us to provide special services to our clients.
Successful Event Information:

In Any Event Catering welcomes the opportunity to help you plan your next event. This planning guide has been prepared especially for our guests. In order to ensure the most efficient service, please follow these procedures when making your arrangements.

1. Advance Notice – Successful events begin with proper and prior planning. Please be sure to allow enough time so that you will receive exactly what you need. Events should be planned as early as possible with the Catering Department.

Coffee Service / Breaks: 2 Days (minimum)

Lunches: 2 Days (minimum)

Dinners: 5 Days (minimum)

Large Events (100+): 5 Days (minimum)

Final Counts / Guarantee: 3 Business Days (minimum)

In order to ensure excellence for your catered events we must adhere to the above guidelines for adequate planning time. In the case of an urgent event or last minute request, contact the Catering Office immediately. We will begin to help you in any way possible although events booked with less than 48 hours will be upon availability.

2. Cancellations – Events with less than 100 guests cancelled three or more days in advance will not incur any cancellation charges. Events cancelled two days or less from the date will be subject to any unrecoverable costs incurred while preparing for the event. Events with more than 100 guests cancelled prior to the event will incur cancellation costs. Example, food in preparation, labor, special rentals, etc.

3. Guest Count and Guarantees – We must receive your final guest count three business days before the event or you will be charged for the last number received. In the event that you exceed your guest count guarantee, you will be charged for the actual guests served.

4. Billing/Payment – An appropriate purchase order number, major credit card, University P-Card, or check is required at the time of the planning of event. Contact the catering office for more information.

5. Beer and Wine – Beer and wine service is available on campus with the appropriate authorization. All groups will be subject to a $55.00 license fee. Bartender rates are $150.00. Additional bartenders will be billed as needed.

6. Lost Equipment – If equipment is missing upon pickup after the event, the group or department who planned the particular event will be charged a replacement cost.

7. Equipment Rental – If rental of any equipment is needed for your catered event a separate amount will be listed on the event sheet.

8. Flowers – Custom floral arrangements are available at an additional charge. Please contact us to make arrangement 3 business days prior to your event.

9. All Meals are Priced Buffet Style – Waitstaff is available at an additional cost for served or Waitstaff assisted meals (See “Waitstaff Service” for set prices). China service can be substituted at an additional cost.

10. Waitstaff Service – because of our fixed costs, there will be an additional charge for required (or requested) Waitstaff. The charge is $150.00 per wait person. Chef assisted meals will be charged $155.00 per chef (minimum of 5 hours).

11. Leftovers – Due to health department restrictions, and the liability thereof, we cannot allow any leftover food items to be taken from the event venue.

12. Tax and Gratuity – All outside groups are subject to 18% service, gratuity, and meal tax charges.

13. Custom Event Menus – Our Catering Manager can create a special menu for any event. Please contact our Catering Director at (914)633-2365 or (914)633-2684 as soon as possible to expedite the planning process.
